Galleria d’arte Menouno is pleased to announce the solo exhibition “Lived Experience Becomes Image” by artist Räto Bachmann, opening on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM with an introductory presentation by Dario Bianchi.

The exhibition brings together a selection of paintings, drawings, and graphic works that transform emotions, memories, and fragments of personal experience into images rich in visual intensity. Layers of color, rhythmic mark-making, and evocative transparencies shape an intimate and profound visual universe where lived experience becomes pictorial narrative.

Räto Bachmann, born in Winterthur in 1950, has lived and worked in Locarno since 1979. Alongside his artistic practice, he taught English and German with a special focus on the relationship between language and art, in institutions such as CSIA and the Liceo Artistico di Lugano. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows throughout Ticino and the German-speaking regions of Switzerland. In 2019, he opened his own gallery in Muralto, “Arte Sia!”.

Lived Experience Becomes Image will be on view at Galleria d’arte Menouno until June 20, 2025.
